Anthony F. Papa, CFP®

Anthony F. Papa, CFP® established his financial planning practice in May 1990, after spending eighteen years in banking.

Tony started his banking career as an Internal Auditor with Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York in September 1971.  In 1982, Tony joined the Chase Manhattan Bank as an Assistant Branch Manager and was later promoted to Assistant Treasurer in charge of operations and business development for the Personal Private Bank Division.

While advancing along his career path, Tony obtained his Certification as a Financial Planner (CFP®) in June 1988 from Adelphi University located in Garden City, New York.  In May of 1990, Tony joined the Professional Planners Group and started his financial planning practice serving professionals, executives, business owners and retirees.  In 2002, Tony formed Papa♦Englehart Strategic Planning Associates, a collaborative partnership with Kathleen M. Englehart.

Today, Tony designs each financial plan to help meet the goals and objectives of his clients.  His core philosophy of providing his valued clients with the resources and education needed to make clear and well formed decisions is at the forefront.  Personalized service, attention to detail and providing accessibility to all his clients, are the cornerstones that make his practice unique.

Tony was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn where he attended and graduated from Fort Hamilton High School.  He earned his Marketing Degree from the College of Staten Island.  Tony is an active member of the Long Island Financial Planning Association (FPA). He is a past recipient of the FPA's Howard Black Memorial Award for Excellence and Achievement in Financial Planning.  Until recently, Tony served on the board of the Holy Family Nursing Home's Family and Friends Counsel, which he co-founded.

He now resides in Seaford, Long Island with his wife Janine.  In his spare time, Tony is a true blue New York Mets' Fan, enjoys travel and fine dining.


Kathleen M. Englehart

Kathleen M. Englehart joined Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company in 1993 as a Consultant, after spending two years as a Loan Officer with Chiba Bank.  In 2002, Anthony Papa and she formed Papa♦Englehart Strategic Planning Associates.

Kathleen's planning practice consists of young growing families, female executives and professionals; and small business owners.  Kathleen adheres to the philosophy of educating clients about their finances and investing for the long term.  Her areas of expertise include college planning, retirement planning and insurance analysis.  Helping each client make an informed decision is paramount to Kathleen's approach to planning.  Therefore, she takes time to thoroughly research alternative solutions and educate her clients as to the options available.  Financial plans are implemented by utilizing the appropriate mix of investments and insurance. In addition, Kathleen believes in educating the public about financial matters and has lectured and presented seminars throughout New York on such topics as Financial Planning for Women and College Planning.

Kathleen has been a member of the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce (BCC), since 1996 and was an active Board member with the BCC for many of those years.  From 1995 until 2001 she was the Director of the Long Island Women's Network, the former chapter of the National Association for Female Executives.  Kathleen is one of the founding members of Long Island Women's Agenda.  In 2000, she was recognized as one of Long Island's Top 50 Businesswomen by Long Island Business News.  In 2009, she was honored as Businessperson of the Year by the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.

Kathleen has been a Baldwin, Long Island resident for over 45 years and resides there with her husband and three daughters.  Kathleen received her Bachelors Degree in Business / Finance from SUNY New Paltz, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.  She is currently studying to obtain her ChFC and CLU designations. Outside of work, Kathleen volunteers as the Treasurer for the Lt. Thomas F. Healy Foundation, an organization that provides grants for members of FDNY battling cancer.  She is also an active member of local PTA and enjoys baking and gardening.  Like Tony, she is a "die hard" New York Mets' Fan!
